Steven Burchett
President and Chief Executive Officer
Community Collaboration, Inc.

Steven Burchett has more than 25 years of diversified international and domestic experience in the Information Services Industry. He has held senior corporate positions encompassing business strategy, operations, outsourcing and managed services, sales and practice management, and program and product management. At CCI, Burchett’s responsibilities include market strategy, corporate business development, and sales and marketing, as well as overseeing all CCI business operations.

Burchett comes to CCI from Siemens Business Services, a provider of global strategic outsourcing, where he was Vice President, Midwest Region. He has a solid track record in successful start up, restructuring, and turnaround situations, including BlueStar Solutions Inc., a privately held IT outsourcer of strategic hosted applications, where he was Vice President of Strategic Accounts. As General Manager for Unisys Corporation, Burchett led all management and operational functions for Unisys’ Financial Services market sector in Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Region.

Brian Dejewski
Director of Collaboration Development
Community Collaboration, Inc.

Brian Dejewski brings over 19 years of business strategy and management in both for profit and nonprofit organizations.  His levels of experience from grassroots operations to executive positions at foundations, faith-based, and community organizations have given him a deep understanding of the cultures of the marketplace and the nonprofit sector.  Dejewski has accomplished successes through his multitude of professional experiences working with over 200 nonprofits in the design and management of training and capacity building initiatives, management of federal grants and projects as well as teaching organizational process and collaboration.  He is leading CCI's consulting and program management, and assisting in CCI's business strategy.

As the Director of Community Engagement for the Twin Cities Christian Foundation, he was responsible for the foundation’s interface with over 160 nonprofits in the community including the design and management of training and capacity building initiatives. Dejewski was also a part of the development team for the design and implementation of two federal multi-city initiatives, the establishment of community partnerships between faith-based and community groups, and connecting professionals to nonprofits by matching their talents with community needs. As a Senior Business Analyst for Target Corporation, Dejewski was responsible for over $200 million of inventory each year, managed the development and roll-out of new business solutions for Target stores around the country, and managed the training and assistance to buyers and analysts to optimize their sales. Dejewski has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Master of Divinity.

Steve Kennedy
Director of Information Services
Community Collaboration, Inc.

Steve Kennedy is the Director of Information Services at CCI and the original engineer in the development of the software solution. He has more than 25 years of technology experience including program design, development, testing, and implementation.

Starting in the software industry before graduating high school, Kennedy began developing commercial software for the Apple 2+, including a payroll package developed for Jostens, Inc. As the IBM PC revolutionized the computer industry Kennedy was able to quickly adapt to development on this new platform. In 1993 he founded Master’s Computer Consulting. During his tenure there he developed software for the Center for the Analysis of Alternative Dispute Resolution Systems (CAADRS) in conjunction with the pilot program for Mediation in the Illinois 17th Circuit Court. Kennedy also worked with the Administrative Office of Illinois Courts to develop a software package for administering court appointed arbitration programs in several Circuits. Kennedy has been responsible for the development of the CCI Collaborative Case Management Software for the last nine years.

Jessica Hubbard
Community Relations Manager

Jessica has over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector with positions in direct service, program management and administration, collaboration, and organizational development.  She has worked directly with adults, youth, and families in the areas of early childhood development, developmentally disabled, education and truancy, and domestic violence.  She has developed and participated in numerous youth, community, and neighborhood programs and initiatives.  At CCI, Hubbard’s responsibilities include marketing and fund development as well as support in client engagement, partner initiatives, and business strategy development.   

Jessica’s experiences in nonprofit management include working with the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) office in Springfield to clarify and improve policy and documentation for the IDHS Child Care Assistance Program.  Additionally she administered training for the IDHS Child Care Tracking System, and assisted the Springfield office with fraud investigations.  In domestic violence, she has managed transitional housing programs, provided court orientation and advocacy, and worked closely with judicial and criminal justice systems to clarify language in the documentation and processing of the Petition for Order of Protection.  Hubbard has a Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management and a Masters Degree in Business Communications. 

Excell Lewis III
Client Engagement Manager
Community Collaboration Inc.

Excell has a depth of experience in new business development, project management, marketing, training and education, and customer service.  He has been responsible for numerous activities at Northern Illinois University including academic advising, student involvement, and leadership development.  He is the Director of Apprenticeship Training Program at Northern Illinois Minority Companies Association (NIMCA) and is Founder and President of XL Academics Inc., a cooperative interned based educational venture between institutions of higher learning and employers.  As Client Engagement Manager at CCI, Excell is responsible for all customer service, implementation, and end-user training.  He also provides support in sales, marketing, and solution development initiatives.

 Excell currently serves as the Vice Chair of Ignite and Board Vice President of the Northern Illinois Minority Companies Association.  He is a member of the Minority Council of the Rockford Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Lydia Urban Academy-Rockford Work-Study Committee.  He has participated as a community representative of the Rockford Register Star Editorial Board, received the Isaac Wilson Award, Forty Leaders under Forty Award by the Rockford Chamber of Commerce and earned the Minority Business of the Year Award.  Lewis has a Bachelors Degree in Organizational Corporate Communication, a Certificate in Public Health and Healthcare Administration, and a Masters in Adult and Higher Education, all from Northern Illinois University.
